Prophets and prophetic believers gather to receive impartation, training, and encouragement. The
biblical precedence for this would be both the Old Testament Schools of the Prophets and the
burgeoning Church in the Book of Acts that was alive with the word of the Lord.
In the Old Testament, we find the Schools of the Prophets in Ramah, Bethel, Gilgal, Gibeah, and
Jericho. The "sons" of the prophets were young men who were being discipled and prepared for
prophetic function. They lived together at these schools, receiving training in a variety of areas to
be fully developed and ready to occupy and fulfill the office of a Prophet. (2 Kings 5:22, 2
Kings 9:1, 2 Kings 9:4, 2 Kings 4:38-41.) by Apostle Ryan Lestrange
